The Revelation of St John the Divine-A Study

For about 13 years a group of faithful men in my home church have been gathering at 6:00 a.m. each Wednesday to study God’s Word. Beginning this month, this Men on the Grow group will be studying the Book of Revelation.

As shown in the blog photo, many Bibles title this Book The Revelation of St. John the Divine. It is more accurate to describe this Book as The Revelation of Jesus Christ. (Note that it is Revelation, singular. There is no Book of Revelations in the Bible)

What better subject for my fist blog here @ WorldPress than starting a study of this mysterious and, to many, terrifying concluding Book of the Bible?

This group is led by my rabbi (which means teacher), Pastor Michael. The series will consist mainly of my notes from our weekly meetings. I will also be referring to John MacArthur’s book, Revelation: The Christian’s Ultimate Victory. Since it took us three years to get through the Gospel According to John, I expect this to be a slow and meticulous study.

In addition to those who regularly visit WordPress, these study notes will also be made available to the many members of my home church who are unable to attend these weekly meetings. Many have expressed disappointment because they can’t participate directly in this study.

In advance, I give my heartfelt thanks to Pastor Michael and the faithful men of our Men on the Grow study group for supporting this study.

As blogs are added to this series, I will include links (a Table of Contents) to this blog.

Shalom,

Art
